On August 2 & 3, I’ll be riding in the 2025 Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) - my fifth time joining thousands of cyclists in this incredible event that raises critical funds for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
The PMC is a two-day, 186-mile (299 km) ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown. More than 6,000 riders will take part, united by a shared goal: to help end cancer.
For the third year, I’ll be riding with Team FLAMES - founded in 2001 by a Dana-Farber patient, Cindy Hale, and her extraordinary care team. FLAMES stands for Fast Legs And Minds Ending Suffering, and the team continues to be supported by Dana-Farber doctors, nurses, and researchers.
This ride is deeply personal for me. I ride in honor and memory of those I’ve known and loved who have faced cancer, including my mother, Joan O'Meara, and friends Joe Massaro, Brian Slattery, Tommy Keenan, Maura Quinn, Brandon Leveille, and Rick Kavanagh.
Every single dollar (100%) raised by riders goes directly to Dana-Farber. Your support, no matter the amount, helps fund life-saving research and compassionate care for those fighting cancer today and in the future.
