Dear Friends,

On August 2nd, I will be riding in my fourth Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC)—a 85-mile journey from Wellesley to Bourne—with a goal to raise $10,000 in the fight against cancer. I’m reaching out to ask for your support.

This ride is deeply personal. I ride to honor family and friends who have survived cancer, those who are currently battling it, and all who depend on continued progress in treatment and research.

I ride in loving memory of my Dad, James Mansfield, and my nephew, Pat Doherty, who both lost their lives to cancer. Pat was just 28, with a promising career in finance and a new chapter beginning in San Diego. Their lives—and the fight they faced—inspire me to keep going.

I'm proud to be part of Team Arlington Angels, riding alongside friends and family in memory of Catherine Malatesta, Matt Griffin, and Pat Doherty—young adults from Arlington who lost their lives far too soon to this disease.

The PMC is the largest single contributor to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, accounting for 55% of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. Since 1980, the PMC community has raised over $1 billion to support groundbreaking cancer research and compassionate patient care.
