Hello!
I am asking you to support me in my effort to raise money for the Pan Mas Challenge (PMC). I will be participating in their 50 mile Wellesley loop. All participants are committed to raising $1,000 to support the fight against cancer.
Sadly, like most people in today's world, I lost a dear friend early in life to cancer. We were both in the 3rd grade and I watched how terrible cancer can be. As many of us have lost family and friends, it is that feeling of helplessness in particular that has moved me to be part of an organization to help find a cure. I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
My current job brings me into the research world where I am directly influenced by the PMC’s effort. My focus is on cancer research where we are working tirelessly to understand cancer. It takes a significant amount of money to run a research study and without these our current therapies would not be where they are today.
PMC is raising funds to make a difference today rather than someday, because someday is too far away. They raise money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Our hope and aspiration is to provide Dana-Farber's doctors and researchers with the necessary resources to discover cures for all cancers. Each donation counts and is 100% deductible. Donations to the PMC ride will help cancer patients by supporting life-saving cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Ma. Many thanks in advance for joining me in this challenge!
Thank you for your support,
Mariel
P.S. I would appreciate it if you would forward this message on to as many people as you can to encourage them to donate as well. Thanks again!
