This August I will be riding in my sixth PAN-MASS CHALLENGE – 85 miles from Wellesley to Bourne. I am extremely grateful to all my family/friends/colleagues who have supported my ride in years past. Without you, there is no PMC.
I dedicate my ride to Pat Doherty, Catherine Malatesta and Matt Griffin - three young Spy Ponders that lost their respective battles to cancer waaaay too soon.
I Ride for my wife Colleen Lombard - a Breast Cancer SURVIVOR - who received treatment at Dana Farber.
I Ride because according to the American Cancer Society 1 in 3 people will develop cancer and 1 in 5 people will die from cancer.
I Ride for my sister Nancy Hogan - a breast cancer SURVIVOR - who also received treatment at Dana Farber.
I Ride for the cancer survivors - who are here with us today thanks to the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
I Ride for Steve Mansfield (Our Captain!), Jack Davies and Pat Coveno as they continue to battle Cancer.
I Ride for my friend and colleague Tom Yoder who is successfully fighting Pancreatic Cancer.
I Ride for my sister-in-law Mara Callahan - a Breast Cancer SURVIVOR.
I Ride for Colleen McConnell - a Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma SURVIVOR.
I Ride for Patrice Dougan - a Breast Cancer SURVIVOR.
I Ride for those who have lost their lives and succumbed to this ghastly disease - Joan Martinuzzi, Brian Martinuzzi, Barbara Porter, Joe Larizza, Jim Coveno, Jessica Landry and for the countless others who were taken too soon.
I am riding with my PMC Team – The Arlington Angels. Since inception, The Arlington Angels have raised ~ $ 875,000 - an amazing testament to the overwhelming support of our community for this cause and to our team.
Please join me and my fellow team members as we ride the PMC in our pursuit to Belt Out Cancer.
I am a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. Since 2007, 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer.
I have committed to raising $6,000. Please consider contributing to my fundraising efforts. Every donation counts.
Thanks
Mark
