Why I Ride ...
I am thrilled to be back with the team in my 5th year involved in the PMC, riding 80 miles from Bourne to P-town with Hannah's Bandanas.
This ride is especially meaningful to me this year, after losing both of my grandmothers this past winter. Both of them were my biggest cheerleaders and I know they will be with me as I ride the 80 miles to P-town.
Cancer sucks -- and unfortunately, it is something that sadly affects all of our lives. Grandma Linde lost her battle with lung cancer in March. She was someone who I went to for advice, inspired me to always challenge the status quo, and taught me to balance working hard to get what I want while ensuring I take care of myself. I also ride in honor of my grandfather who lost his battle with cancer in 2010 and my incredible cousin who is cancer-free.
As Grammy Croft taught me -- Crofts (and by blood the Lindes) never give up. I will remember her spirit and joy each time I clip into my bike.
I am proud to ride my PMC, in honor of survivors, the people battling, and the people that have lost their lives.
