I ride to continue my family's tradition. My dad, a cancer survivor, participated in his first PMC in 1992 to thank Dana Farber and the Jimmy Fund for saving his life. My mom (pregnant with me) met him at the finish line and they celebrated together. Over the years, some of our family and friends have participated in the PMC to honor him, and I have anxiously waited at the finish line to congratulate them and be a part of the celebrations. Now, it's my turn to ride.
Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund have saved so many lives, and I'm committed to being a part of their $46 million goal. It's an honor to have had the PMC in my family for so many years. I can't wait to see my family standing where I stood to celebrate my finish as I keep our family's tradition alive.
