If you're going through hell, keep going.
-Winston Churchill
It will be 10 years this August since I first swung my leg onto a bike and rode for this cause. What feels like yesterday, was two years ago this October when I lost my grandfather in Italy to cancer. Another 10 years could go by and I wouldn't be able to find the right words to characterize what loss feels like. All I've learned is you can spend a lifetime trying to characterize it, talk about it or let time wither it away but instead for the last 10 years I opted to fight it by joining this cause and ride. So the right goes on, the ride continues and the hope that these efforts lead to a world without this cutting the lives of loved ones short. I cannot thank those who return and contribute every year enough, I know it's often a simple note you get back but please know it is always dually noted and appreciated.
Entering Year 10, I'm renewing my commitment and goal to support those battling cancer, in honor of my family and friends.
There aren't many people these days who haven't been effected by cancer. Something I hope my kids and generations to come will never have to deal with. For years now the Pan Mass Challenge has been my vehicle of support. The PMC is truely unlike any other event or fundraiser, pushing individuals and teams to their limits in a challenge to show their support to finding a cure.
If you're visiting this page, please consider becoming a part of the fight and donate. Your donation of any amount would be a great help toward my reaching this goal.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer - a path not easily taken. In fact, every year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. The PMC's work accounts on average for over 60% of the Jimmy Fund's revenue every year. Having affected and lost family and friends over the years to cancer this is my way of fighting back on their behalf and on behalf of future generations.
Become a part of the fight.
Despite the challenges over the past couple year, that first weekend of August, I'll be riding the full Sturbridge to Provincetown, MA across the Cape riding 192 miles. Everyone is more than welcome to join and please let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to follow my rides via Strava in the tab above
Thank you so much for your support. I will think of you proudly as I bravely pound the pavement.
