This year I'm a proud participant in the 2-day Pan-Mass Challenge, riding for my mother, Mary Ann, who has been bravely fighting Triple Negative Breast Cancer since her diagnosis this past fall. Since hearing that awful news, she has spent every day doing everything she can to fight, and she is doing amazing. We were so blessed to be able to work with Dana Farber to help determine and validate her treatment plan. While we are so lucky to have such expertise from a treatment standpoint, we want to also make sure this expertise is driving us all towards finding cures for these cancers.

The Pan-Mass Challenge is a bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country - to bring us Closer by the Mile to a cure for cancer. Since its founding in 1980, PMC riders like me have raised more than $1 billion for lifesaving cancer research, treatment and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the country's top cancer care hospitals. PMC is making a difference in the lives of patients at Dana-Farber and around the world. The funds I raise support the innovative work of doctors, nurses, and scientists in their search for cures for cancers and related diseases.
