Dear Friends,

On August 3rd and 4th I will be riding in the Pan Mass Challenge. PMC is a bicycle ride to raise money for adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund. It's a two day bike ride that starts in Sturbridge MA and ends in Provincetown MA and covers over 200 miles. The PMC is the largest single fundraising event in the country and has raised more money for charity than any other single event in the country, including over $72 million in 2023 alone! This success is the result of a lot of people riding for, and caring about, a cure. And because every penny matters, 100% of your donation goes to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.   

I will be joined by some good friends in West Hartford and we will all be part of the amazing TeamBrentWheels. Our West Hartford team will be riding in memory of Kerri Massaro. Kerri was our teammate Matt Massaro's wife and was an amazing mother, friend, mentor, teacher and coach in the West Hartford School District. Kerrie fought breast cancer valiantly for many years and was so well supported by her family, friends, co-workers and her medical team, including those at Dana Farber.

Unfortunately, most all of us have been impacted by cancer in some shape or form. Many of us have lost close friends, colleagues or family members, while others have endured or witnessed those who have been impacted by the physical and emotional strains of battling cancer. I look forward to sharing the results of my ride and the PMC with you in the near future.
