Hi Friends!
This Summer, Team Quinn will be riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge for the eighth time. For those who may not be familiar, the PMC is a charitable bike ride that raises money for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. As some of you know, we lost my nephew, Quinn, in July 2016 at the age of 9. I will be riding with my brother Joe (Quinn’s father), my nephew Will (Quinn’s brother), my brother Frank, and a group of dedicated riders on Team Quinn.
We will be completing a two-day ride during the weekend of August 2nd and 3rd Our fundraising efforts will support The Quinn Amsler Fund, which directs all funds to The Center for Pediatric Cancer Therapeutics at Dana-Farber. This research center is dedicated to finding more effective treatments, and ultimately a cure for childhood cancers. The research is focused on promising new areas such as immunotherapy and epigenetics. 100% of every rider-raised dollar will directly support The Quinn Amsler Fund, and these research efforts at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
To those that have contributed in the past, I want to provide a quick update on the progress we have made through The Quinn Amsler Fund. After this year's Pan Mass Challenge, The Quinn Amsler Fund will have raised over $1 Million for pediatric cancer research. The Quinn Amsler Fund has supported research projects at Dana-Farber, that have led to breakthroughs for numerous types of childhood cancer. Please consider supporting this important cause so that the path forward for the next child diagnosed with cancer will be easier. Together we are making amazing progress! Some of the stories of children that have been saved through this new research has been encouraging and heart-warming. I am so appreciative for all the generous donations we have received.
