I am committed to riding my bike 85 miles again this summer in my 14th PMC because cancer has not been cured and needs to be stopped. Because I know how much the money raised by the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) helps patients and researchers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). Because it is one thing I can do to help.

My husband Len and I will drive from Kirkland WA to Boston MA and I'll be ready to ride from Wellesley, MA to Bourne, MA on 8/2. I'm excited and more motivated than ever.

My sister Sue's battle with ovarian cancer continues and she's back on chemo. This year's ride is especially for her.

I first started riding in 2012 after Cindy and Mussie Shore's 21-year old daughter Mazie was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It piled on when my sister Susan was diagnosed and another friend and a friend’s mom and on and on.

Mazie and her awesome team at Dana Farber did everything they could including clinical trials that were funded with PMC money but I'm sad to say she succumbed in 2012.

Last year my jersey had 138 names and I've already added more for this year. If you know someone dealing with cancer please let me know and I'll add them to my jersy and ride hard for them too.

It is my goal to raise $26,000.00, 100% of which will go to cancer research and patient care at DFCI.
