I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.

This will be my second time riding in the Pan Mass Challenge from Wellesley to Bourne. My first year was quite an experience, full of great weather, awesome people and one amazing ride.

The reason I decided to partake in the Pan Mass Challenge is because my wife Christine was diagnosed with metastasized colon cancer, at just 38 years old. She fought for seven and a half months while still living her life to the fullest by taking vacations and being around family and friends. Against all odds, Christine kept her unbelievable sense of humor and kept everybody laughing. Although her battle did not end how we had all hoped, her family, friends, co-workers and strangers were allowed time to be with her. This precious time was afforded to us by her team at Dana Farber, which we are all so grateful for.

The thought of giving another family extended time to be together or, to make their battle a little easier is the reason why I choose to fundraise and ride for the PMC.

I ride in honor of Christine and all of our family & friends who have been touched by cancer.
