Why I Ride ...
This will be my twelfth year participating in the Pan-Mass Challenge ride. Our team, "Just A Bump In The Road," continues to grow as we are in our 22nd year of participant fundraising. 2023 marked a historic year for our team as we raised over $189,000 in a single year for cancer research. This year, several of my fellow Bowdoin College alumni and high school friends have joined our team to participate in the ride.
Since 1980, the PMC has raised $1 billion for cancer research, specifically for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund. Every dollar raised supports innovative research by doctors and nurses at DFCI and raises the hopes and dreams in patients of a world without cancer.
I ride to carry on the tradition of supporting a great cause with an incredible team that my mother, Sharon, started 22 years ago. Her memory exists as a shining example of humility, grace, courage, and perseverance.
