Dear Friends,
It’s about that time again! This weekend, I will once again (for the 13th year) be clipping in and riding in the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC). For those of you who have donated to my ride in the past, I can't thank you enough and I sincerely appreciate your support. The PMC, for those who are unfamiliar, is an annual 2-day, cycling fundraiser for cancer research and treatment. My team will be riding from Wellesley to Provincetown and every dollar raised will go directly to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston to support the talented doctors, researchers and staff in their mission to cure cancer.
My first PMC ride was in 2008 when a small group of my family and friends started Team Fitz in honor of my uncle, Kevin Fitzgerald, who lost his battle to cancer in the fall of 2007. In the years since that inaugural ride, we as a team have experienced more painful losses from this unforgiving disease, which has only inspired us to continue riding. Since cancer hasn’t stopped, we haven’t stopped. We ride once again and will continue to do so for as long as it takes to beat this disease once and for all.
I hope I can count on your support
The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country, more than $1 billion since 1980 and $75 million in 2024 alone! This success is the result of a lot of people riding for, and caring about, a cure. And because every penny matters, 100 percent of your donation goes to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
I've made a personal commitment to ride PMC 2025 and raise $6,000.00. I hope you can help me achieve this significant goal by contributing to my ride.
Every donation helps, no matter how small, because every penny goes directly towards critical life saving research and treatment. I humbly ask for your support.
Every donation brings us closer by the mile.
Sincerely,
Matt Fitzgerald
