On August 2nd and 3rd Bill and I will be participating in the 2025 Pan Mass Challenge ride (my second and Bill's ninth) on our tandem bike. We will pedal from Sturbridge MA to Provincetown MA for a total of 186 miles. This annual bike-a-thon raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. Since its founding in 1980, PMC riders have raised more than $1 billion for lifesaving cancer research, treatment and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the country's top cancer care hospitals.

I ride in memory of relatives and friends that have lost their battle with cancer, and in support of those courageously fighting the disease. In the face of potential government funding cuts, I worry that the speed of research, treatments, and cures may be affected. This makes the relationship of the PMC with Dana-Farber even more crucial.
