I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to help so many adults and children to beat cancer. 100% of rider-raised revenue goes directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. Dana Farber's investigators have played a substantial role in developing more than half (51%) of all cancer drugs approved by the FDA in the last five years.
This August, I'm committed to riding from the NY/MA border, 3 days and ~300 miles across the commonwealth, and committed to fundraising at least $6000. Any amount of your support is very much appreciated!
Your donation goes to The Erica Leafquist Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Erica’s Fund helps support the work of Dr. Lewis B. Silverman, MD, Director of Clinical Research and Clinical Care, Department of Pediatric Oncology, Dana Farber/Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Silverman’s team is working on new ways to treat acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), the most common cancer in children. Fifty years ago, childhood ALL was universally fatal, but today long-term event-free survival rates are nearly 80%. But there is still a long way to go improve treatment outcomes.
