Hello and thank you for visiting my PMC Fundraising page.

I need to begin this letter by sending out an enormous, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has so generously donated to the PMC and supported Dana Farber's efforts against cancer.

We ride the PMC as a team again in 2024. This will be my 16th year riding and I'm looking forward to a weekend full of pride, emotion, connection, and life changing experiences. This August 7,000+ riders and over 4,000 volunteers will come together with a singular focus; making a difference for those touched by cancer. As always, I ride for hope- for life beyond cancer.

I will again be riding with a heavy heart at times and a heart buoyed by love & hope at other times. My Mother (Wendy Denneen) passed away on November 2, 2017 after a two-year battle with Malignant Metastatic Melanoma. Her strength, drive, and positive attitude during this time was simply amazing and I’m thankful for the time we shared together. The level of care, cutting edge treatment options, and resources available at Dana Farber Cancer Institute were unbelievable- a true testament to the donations from the Pan Mass Challenge. I’m thankful to Dana Farber, the PMC, and every individual that has been part of this event…. riding the bike, volunteering, or donating.

I ride in honor of friends, co-workers, and family who have received recent diagnoses or are currently in treatment. I ride in memory of a sweet, wonderful little boy named Evan who lost his battle with cancer in June of 2022. I ride for our Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, cousins, friends, and colleagues. I ride for all of us, some of you have fought this battle or stood strong with a loved one in their personal battle. As a community we fight and heal together.

I've made a personal commitment to raise $6,000 and I hope you can help me reach this important goal. I appreciate that many are feeling the impact of economic uncertainty, so please know that no amount is too small (and I know not everyone will be able to give). If you can give, please do so. If you have the capacity to give a little more than you might normally, your generosity will make a tremendous difference.

Almost everyone has been touched in some way by this disease. With your help, I look forward to contributing to our shared dream to end cancer. Loved ones we have lost, especially Wendy Denneen, Mike Denneen, Joan King, Arabella Green, Don Dix, Carol Downer, Jana Steruska-Slezak, Tom and Joan Sullivan, Jimmie Cooper, Darwin White, Dave Bendroth, Norma McGarr, Don Osborne, Scott Richert, Jeff Martinez, Todd Spelman, Evan Austin. They were all true inspirations.... We miss them but I'm so thankful for the memories.
