Why I Ride ...
Cancer has touched all of us. Growing up, I felt the impact of cancer on loved ones and their communities, which drove me to train as a doctor. After having started at Harvard Medical School in 2021, this past May I had the lifechanging experience of rotating at the Dana-Farber. Every single day, I witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of advances in cancer research and care on the lives of patients and their loved ones. During medical school, I have gained a better understanding of the science and treatment of cancer. But beyond medical knowledge, experiences with patients living with cancer reinforced what all of us already know. The most important aspect of supporting people with cancer is community. I ride because the PMC has created the most passionate, devoted, and beloved community, bound together by a shared commitment to people affected by cancer by advancing cancer research and care since 1980.
As a first-time rider, I am a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. I am also honored to join Team Next Generation. Now more than 80 aged 35-and-under PMC participants strong, our team is lucky to be riding once again on behalf of our Pedal Partner Sophia, who is a brave four-year-old battling cancer. The PMC is critical in its support of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and enables the life-saving research and treatment that Sophia and so many others are currently receiving.
I hope you will consider supporting my ride and contributing towards a cancer-free future.
100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
