Last summer, I proudly rode with some Team Crank members in the reimagined Pan Jersey Challenge — a two-day, 200-mile ride supporting cancer research at Dana-Farber. Sharing that experience with my son Quinn made it even more meaningful. It was an unforgettable experience, and I was excited to do it again this year in the Pan Mass Challenge, riding across Massachusetts with Quinn and the team.
Unfortunately, due to a recent knee surgery, I won’t be able to ride this August — but my commitment to the cause is as strong as ever. I’m still fundraising and would be incredibly grateful for your support. And to honor every donation, I’ll be back on the bike in September to complete a 200-mile ride over a weekend.
I ride in honor of my mother — and many others close to me — who have bravely battled cancer. My mom is a survivor whose strength and spirit are a constant reminder of why this mission matters. Even after her battle, she continues to live with incredible energy and positivity, inspiring me every day. Like so many, my family and friends have been deeply affected by cancer.
While I may not be on the bike, I’m still fundraising, and I’d be incredibly grateful for your support. Cancer continues to affect so many of us, and every dollar raised goes directly to the Jimmy Fund / Dana-Farber, fueling the research and care that bring hope to countless individuals and families.
Since its founding in 1980, PMC riders like me have raised more than $1 billion for lifesaving cancer research, treatment and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the country's top cancer care hospitals. My PMC is making a difference in the lives of patients at Dana-Farber and around the world. The funds I raise support the innovative work of doctors, nurses, and scientists in their search for cures for cancers and related diseases.
If you're able to give, thank you. And if not, no pressure - your support in any form — encouragement, sharing this message, or simply caring — means a lot.
