Our daughter Taylor was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in January of 2017. She is a beautiful 8 year old girl who will be entering third grade in September. For the past 19 months, Taylor has been receiving weekly treatments at Dana Farber Cancer Institute Jimmy Fund Clinic. Although the inital news on that January day was devastating, our family has been able to stay positive and carry on with our lives to give Taylor, Olivia, Peyton and Chace a normal life. We have been able to do this with the huge support from family, friends, our community and Dana Farber. We sincerely thank everyone that has helped and prayed in the fight to get Taylor heathy.
I will be riding the Pan-Mass Challenge from Wellesley to Bourne in a one day 84 mile ride on Saturday, August 4th. The funds raised will go directly to the Oncology floor in Boston Children's Hospital where Taylor has received life saving treatments. The funds will relieve the burden of childhood cancer through financial assistance, program support and pediatric cancer research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Boston Children's Hospital.
Taylor is responding well to treatment and has great support from my wife Danielle, older sister Olivia, twin brother Peyton and little brother Chace. She is scheduled to be done with treatment in March of 2019. We are hopeful and excited for the day when Taylor will be cancer free.
Please consider donating to help other children with cancer and families like ours. Any amount makes a difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and help support this great event.
Sincerely,
Matt and Danielle Comella
