I ride because it is a small way to help fight against this horrible disease. From family members to friends this disease has taken to many people's lives and this is one way as an ordinary citizen I can contribute to help find a cure.

I also ride because I am part of a fantastic team. We are made up of young, motivated individuals who grew up in or around Boston, and we all ride in memory of the Late Kevin Fitzgerald. Kevin 'Fitz', as he was commonly known, was one of Boston's prominent political leaders for over twenty years. He lost his battle with cancer in 2008. I never had the chance to meet Kevin Fitz personally, but the stories speak for themselves. He was a man who was always willing to help and set a good example.

As a team, we continue to ride because every year we have family members and friends whose lives are turned upside down by cancer.

It is an honor and privilege to ride for all of the fantastic people who have lost their battle to cancer. It is also a way to spend a positive weekend with some of my best friends, focusing on hope and positivity.
