As many of you may know, I lost my Aunt Susan 8 years ago to cancer. In 2019, my father decided that the best way to honor his sister’s memory was to participate in the Pan-Mass Challenge (“PMC”), the country’s largest, athletic charity event, a two-day bike ride of approximately 180 miles from outside Boston to Provincetown, which is at the tip of Cape Cod. One hundred percent of the money raised by the PMC goes to benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Last year, the PMC raised a record-breaking $72 million dollars for cancer research and, this year, the PMC will exceed $1 billion in historical donations!!

For the past 2 years, my brother, Andrew, has joined my Dad’s team, helping to raise money to honor our aunt. I have been unable to ride because of school commitments. This year, we were all going to ride together in my dad’s final ride…but Andrew and his wife Katie are now expecting their first child, leaving me with the task of pushing the old man to the finish line!!

Our team is Crus11Tour, which raised over $1 million alone last year and which designates its funds to support brain cancer research at Dana Farber. I am respectfully requesting that you help me do my small part to eradicate cancer. I give you my word that I will train hard to honor your generosity and I will be matching the first $500 donated.
