Hi All,
Happy almost Summer everyone! How's it going? I hope you are all enjoying it, with lots of family and friends and the best of times together. Also, I hope you have loads of this...
HEALTH.
It is a gift. Precious and magnificent and valuable.
CANCER. It is a disease. It can steal HEALTH in an instant.
CANCER can happen to anyone. Can catch you by surprise. Disrupt otherwise healthy, happy lives and loving families. In one swell foope, CANCER can change all that.
Who gets it? Well, that’s the crazy thing, CANCER is indiscriminate. It attacks whomever it wants, whenever its ready---with no regard for age or fitness or socioeconomic situation or place. It is relentless.
All of a sudden, if you are a CANCER patient, you must FIGHT for your life.
Know what Winston Churchill said? “NEVER GIVE IN.”
Did you know he’s the third-most-quoted person in the world (next to Jesus and Shakespeare)? He ought to know.
So, what does that mean? What do we do? WE FIGHT.
When CANCER attacks those we LOVE, well…then its WAR.
Churchill knows WAR too. He won one.
He said “Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. IT IS THE COURAGE TO CONTINUE THAT COUNTS.”
SO WE FIGHT. In the trenches, side by side. With all we’ve got.
LOVE is bigger and stronger and richer and better… against it, CANCER doesn’t stand a chance.
LOVE WINS. WHEN WE FIGHT TOGETHER.
LOVE WINS. It means supporting the research studies, clinical trials and medical innovations –it means HAVING THE COURAGE TO ATTACK CANCER RIGHT BACK.
LOVE WINS. It means holding the hand of OUR LOVED ONE who is struggling with CANCER, walking right alongside him or her, every step. COURAGEOUSLY.
WHEN WE FIGHT TOGETHER, LOVE GETS STRONGER AND cancer gets weaker. All our loved ones fighting deserve to get their full HEALTH back again.
It is WORKING. Thanks to your efforts, treatments are better, last longer, target CANCER cells more specifically, tackle them more arduously, diminish the disease in ways heretofore not possible.
LOVE IS WINNING. Our loved ones who are fighting cancer are living. Having better quality of life too. Yet CANCER's still here; as Monty Python says, it’s “not dead yet.” Let’s end it.
Momentum and COURAGE are in OUR favor. WE must keep the momentum going!
In whatever way we COURGEOUSLY contribute, LET’S DO IT. Pedal by pedal, step by step, hug by hug, mile by mile. WE DON’T STOP. Our loved ones fighting cancer need us.
WE NEVER GIVE IN. TOGETHER, WE CURE CANCER.
LOVE WINS. WITHOUT A DOUBT.
Any support, no matter how small, counts in spades. Thank you for helping.
One life lost is one too many.
LOVE, Melody
