When I turned 29, I learned that the scariest text I'd receive is "they found something".

I got this text from my best friend, Dena, in the middle of the night on December 13, 2021. She was shortly afterwards diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. I ride for her and I feel so lucky to also say that I ride with her. I am in awe of Dena for choosing to do this ride for her third year while still in treatment (even though by meeting her you'd never know it.) I am grateful and inspired to be right by her side riding in the PMC together. I am thankful every day because of the life changing work that Dana Farber does.

I ride for my grandpa, who was undergoing treatment after doctors discovered a Lymphoma in October of 2022. He passed away last year while still undergoing cancer treatment. 

I ride for my father-in-law. After being diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma, he underwent surgery followed by radiation. As of his most recent scans, he has a clean bill of health and our family couldn't be more thankful for the researchers and medical team that helped along the way.

I ride for anyone who benefits from the medical miracles that can be possible due to the millions in donations toward the fight against cancer so even one less "they found something" and just one more clean bill of health can be sent into the universe.
