I am proud and excited to be participating in my 3rd Pan Mass Challenge!
This year's PMC is striving to reach a lifetime fundraising goal of ONE BILLION! That's ONE BILLION towards cancer treatment, research, and HOPE for a cure.
It is an honor to ride every mile to raise money for Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
My mom was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in 2006, spring semester of my freshman year of college. She was initially given 6 months to live. My mom was not satisfied with that outcome. Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Dr. Bruce Johnson and his team found a trial drug for my mom to be a part of.
I am in deep gratitude to Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Instead of 6 months to live, my mom got 6 YEARS. That's six more years of memories that I can keep with me that I wouldn't have had without Dana Farber's efforts towards research and care for their patients and families.
I ride in memory of my courageous, beautiful, and loving mom, Dorothy “Dottie” Andrade. She fought her battle with strength, faith, and grace. I also ride for the man responsible for shaping my amazing husband, his dad, William Bill Rosenbeck.
This year I will be riding a Reimagined PMC Ride, which is a ride that can take place anywhere, at anytime. My husband, Brian, will be supporting and riding right beside me while we take this Reimagined ride to Spain!
During the second week of September, we will be riding 121km from Santiago up Spain's coastline to Muxia. This ride will follow the first leg of our Camino de Santiago walking pilgrimage which starts in Sarria, Spain and ends in Santiago (111km).
Donate this summer and be ONE IN A BILLION!!!
