As many of you may know, I’ve again signed-up to ride the Pan-Mass Challenge. This will be my 9th year participating in this fantastic fundraiser.
This year, our group adopted a pedal partner. Carson is a precocious 4-year old who is in the midst of a 2-year treatment plan for Leukemia. I couldn't be prouder to say I'm on HER team! To be very honest, meeting and spending time with Carson and her family put a lot of things in perspective. In regards to this event, there are more than a few times where I've openly complained about the prep/training (ANOTHER training ride in the %&^! rain?!?) and logistics (2-hr bus ride to Sturbridge anyone?). But I'm ashamed when those thoughts even creep into my head knowing what Carson goes through on a daily basis.
