Hello Friends & Family -
I'm back in the saddle again for the 2023 Pan Mass Challenge!
This year I'm dedicating my ride to my mom, aka Cilla, G-Ma and Prissy (See photo above Cilla circa 1950). My #1 supporter over the years is living with CLL. Not one to let it (or anything else for that matter) slow her down, she's also training for her next 5K:)! An inspiration to me and many others, thank you Mom for all you do. I love you! This one's for you.
Last year was my first year as a rider on the Eisai Team for the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC). For those who may not be familiar with the PMC, it is a 186-mile bike ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown in Boston, MA. The PMC raises money for life-saving cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to PMC. With the generosity of many of you, we were able to raise a record breaking $69M for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in 2022. There were 6,500 riders, 3,000 volunteers, 275,000 donors and 200 sponsors that all came together to make this possible.
The big ride is just around the corner and is scheduled for August 5th and 6th. I've already begun my training and plan to log over 1,400 miles in the saddle as I prepare for the 2-day, 186-mile ride. Similar to my fellow riders, I have committed to fund raising and responsible for raising $6,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I thank you in advance for your support and look forward to seeing those of you who are local along the route.
Salud!
Lisa
