Hi! I am excited to be biking in the PMC this August. I will be biking 162 miles over two days to raise money for cancer research and treatment at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
After cancer impacting the lives of so many we care about, I am excited to get to do a small part in the fight against this devastating disease.
I am also proud to be biking as part of the CRUS11TOUR, which is raising funds specifically for an aggressive form of brain cancer in honor of Davey Hovey. He lost his battle against Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme when he was 25 years old, after fighting for 16 months with 5 brain surgeries and countless seizures all the while maintaining positive attitude and good spirit. Unfortunately, there has been little progress made in the treatment of Glioblastoma and the standard of care only gives a patient an average prognosis of 16 months from diagnosis, exactly the length of Davey’s fight.
Below is a photo from mile 160 as we rode into Provincetown last year (2023). The sea of blue jerseys was a very moving sight with a group of primarily young people united in the fight against cancer that, as we know, affects people of all ages.
I would be honored if you would consider supporting me and the CRUS11TOUR team with a donation. No amount is too small, and every dollar makes a difference. Your donation will go directly to cancer research and support the groundbreaking work being done to develop new treatments and find a cure.
Thank you for your support!!
