Cancer has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, impacting not just my family but so many people I care about. Over the past several months, that reality has hit harder than ever. More friends and loved ones have been diagnosed, and their stories remind me daily why this ride is so important.
Cancer has stolen too much from too many. Plans for the future, relationships, important moments and most importantly, time. It has taken family members, friends, and neighbors—and along the way, it has taught me just how precious and fragile life is. It’s a painful reminder to live fully, love fiercely, and never take a moment for granted.
But cancer isn’t unbeatable. With research, innovation, and the dedication of brilliant scientists and care teams, progress is being made every day. That’s why I’m riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge again to help fund the research.
This will be my fourth year riding and every mile, I’ll be thinking of the people I’ve lost, the survivors who inspire me, and those going through treatment. My goal is to raise $6,000 for Dana Farber Cancer Institute, where every single dollar will go directly toward cancer research and care through the Jimmy Fund.
If you’re able to contribute, it would mean the world to me—and to the countless families who will benefit from the research this ride supports. No donation is too small, and every bit helps us move closer to a world without cancer.
Thank you for your support and care,
Laura
