It was the summer of 1997, my mother loaded my sister and I up in our car and said, “you’re volunteering for the pan mass challenge this year. Your father rides and we volunteer” I was not excited, I was 12 and it was summer time. Once we arrived I was immediately put to work carrying cases of water and re-stocking snacks. All of a sudden men and women in spandex started rolling through the tent and thanking me. Thanking me! For what? It took a moment but I eventually understood and realized what we were a part of.

I will never forget the experience of watching my father cross that finish line and the raw emotion I witnessed from everyone involved throughout the day. This is where I belonged.

After 22 years of being involved, this will mark by 14th year as a rider. I have witnessed too many of my family and friends being affected by Cancer to not stay involved in such a cause.

This is the part where I ask for your support as I join over 6,500 riders this year to raise over $60 million for Cancer Resarch!
