Hello Friends,
I hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for a fun summer.
I hope everyone is looking forward to a fun few weeks that hopefully includes trying to figure out how to walk away from an awkward conversation at a family BBQ or wiping the sand off your toes after a long day at a local beach. I am also looking forward to all of these things.
In addition to these wonderful summer rituals, I will also be waking up early and spending some time on my bike getting ready for my 9th Pan Mass Challenge (PMC). As you all know, the PMC is a multi-day bike ride designed to raise money and awareness for the important work that is done on a daily basis at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. I will join over 6,500 riders who have dedicated their time and energy to this important cause.
This year, I will be embarking on a 2-day, 162-mile journey from Wellesley to Provincetown in an effort to raise awareness for the quality care and cutting edge research performed at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Every year this ride leaves me both saddened and inspired by the people that I meet along the route. Last year I tagged along with a group of college lacrosse players who lost one of their teammates to cancer shortly after graduation. I also had to peddle pretty hard to try to keep up with a gentleman who was actively getting treatment at the Dana Farber. It is these stories that keeps me returning to this event year after year.
I very much appreciate everyone’s support and words of encouragement along the way. I especially love hearing your stories. Thank you in advance for all your support and I look forward to catching up with you all this summer.
