Many thanks to all of you for helping Bill and me to meet our fundraising goals last year. This year will be the 10th and last year that we do the entire 2 day ride. I would like to make our last year, our best fundraising year.
Cancer continues to touch all of our lives. Although we are riding again on Ed's Team, which was formed to honor our friend, Ed Walsh, this year I am dedicating my ride in memory of my dear aunt, Gloria Wells Sidnam, who died of lung cancer in October 2015. Her boundless energy and appreciation of all things beautiful extended into all aspects of her life,,,as a creative art director in advertising, docent at the Metropolitan Museum, hostess, art educator, writer on how to "see art", and prolific painter. Her generosity of spirit and hospitality touched all who knew her. Although cancer ultimately took her life, advances in cancer treatment allowed her to continue living a high quality life...traveling, painting and enjoying family and friends for over 2 years, from when she was diagnosed to her death.
We honor her life, and the lives of countless friends, patients, family members and colleagues, by supporting the Pan Mass Challenge and continuing to advance cancer research and treatment. As always, every dollar that is contributed to the PMC goes directly to the DFCI and Jimmy Fund.
