Why I Ride ...
I am incredibly excited to ride my first PMC this upcoming August! I began at Dana Farber 5 years ago as a summer intern researching NK and T cell immunotherapies in the Romee lab. As a new student in the field of oncology, I marvel at all the research centered around advancing patient care. Since graduating university, I have transitioned to working as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Genitourinary (GU) cancer group. Moving away from the lab bench to a clinical setting, I have had a glimpse into the countless hours of work it takes to implement an idea into a therapy.
Through this PMC, I am proud to be riding with the Ocean State Cancer Crushers, a group founded by and in memory of PJ Hartley. 100% of the funds raised, will go towards the Dr. McGregor Research Fund at DFCI, advancing treatments for GU cancers. I would also like to thank Colonial Bicycles in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, for generously lending me the necessary equipment make this ride possible!
Please help me to reach my fundraising goal of $6,000 and support the fight against cancer!
