Why I Ride ...
I ride in memory of my mother (melanoma and neuroendocrine cancer), my mother-in-law (pancreatic cancer) and my father-in-law (lung cancer). I think of them often, but perhaps most poignantly when one of their grandchildren does something that they would love to have seen, whether it's dance in a ballet, give a graduation speech or clear the fence with a home run.
I also ride in support, or in memory of, our many friends and other family members who are battling or who have battled cancer, as well as for the survivors of cancer, many of whom have benefited from Dana Farber's groundbreaking research and treatment.
Finally, I ride for the joyful physical challenge and camaraderie that accompanies this two-day nearly 200 mile ride across Massachusetts.
