This year will mark my 21st PMC ride—and it feels especially heavy, but much more important. I have now lost both of my parents to cancer, with my Mom succumbing to her battle with lung cancer this past March, and am deeply feeling that weight. My daughter still deals with the repercussions of her battle with cancer and at least once a month I refer a friend or a friend’s friend to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute for help with their cancer diagnosis. It seems never-ending, and as exhausting as it feels, it’s all the more reason to continue riding for such an important cause. Cancer is affecting more and more people every day and the funds we raise each and every year for the Dana Farber continue to make cutting-edge breakthroughs in cancer treatment and care. In honor of my parents, and all of our other loved ones who have battled this disease, I ask for your continued support.
DFCI continues to strive to deliver the best care today, the best hope for tomorrow and to deliver on the promise of eradicating cancer. This is a lofty goal and one that will only happen with the continued support of all of us! You have already been incredibly generous to the DFCI in honor of my Dad and Hannah for these past 21 years. And now I am asking you to honor my Mom’s battle with cancer and help me with this fight. I greatly appreciate all of your support, but am asking that you continue to help keep our dreams alive; to eliminate this disease and until then, to give those who are fighting cancer the same opportunity my daughter, my Dad, my Mom and my friends had: to continue to live their lives with spirit, vitality and meaning! Your dollars are the resources that will really help make cancer a disease of the past!!
The easiest way to contribute to my ride is to simply enter the amount of your donation to the right and then click on the make an e-gift link and use your credit card. However, if you prefer, you may send a check made out to PMC to:
