Dear family and friends,
On August 6th and 7th I will be riding in my 6th Pan Mass Challenge ride with the Red Sox Team 9. I will join 5,500 cyclists in the PMC ride, an annual bike-a-thon that raises money for research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DCFI) in Boston. We will be riding our bikes 163 miles from Wellesley, Massachusetts to Provincetown at the tip of Cape Cod. Our Team 9 is named after baseball legend, Ted Williams, who was always a great supporter of the Jimmy Fund.
The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country. Since 2007, 100% of every dollar PMC cyclists raised goes directly to the Jimmy Fund. Since 1980, the PMC has contributed $500 million, which finances research in its earliest stages. This success is the result of a lot of people riding for, and caring about, a cure.
I have lost many loved ones to cancer and know too many others who are presently battling this horrible disease. This past year I lost 3 beautiful friends who were amazing and inspiring young mothers. We want to do everything we can to help in the fight against cancer!
Today, I am asking for YOUR support! I've made a personal commitment to ride and raise $4,500. Every donation brings us closer by the mile. No amount is too small to help in this fight against cancer. Anything you can donate WILL help!!!
