Twenty-seven years ago( OMG) I started this journey with the excitement and challenge of riding 200 miles and raising $1000! Today the PMC is a compelling and essential part of my life. My three children have grown up with it, beginning at ages 7, 10 and 11. They, along with my husband, have volunteered, fundraised and ridden with me. The PMC is a summer tradition and has become ingrained into our lives. Riding the PMC allows me the time to reflect on all the people I ride for, it saddens me but at the same time offers so much hope. I continue to ride, way beyond my original 10 year committment, because I can. I ride for those who cannot. It is a privilege.
