I am thrilled to be joining my parents' team, Pedals for Pediatrics, for the 2nd year! My parents, Bob and Lisa Morrissey formed this team in 2004. I have watched and admired my parents participate in the PMC for years and am so grateful to be joining their incredible team this summer!
The Pedals for Pediatrics team's (P4P) mission to ease the burden of childhood cancer with every mile ridden and every dollar raised. Twenty years later, P4P has raised almost $7 million dollars to support pediatric cancer research, program support and direct financial assistance for patients and families receiving care at Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. https://www.danafarberbostonchildrens.org/
Through an innovative grant process, P4P has provided funding for over 75 initiatives and programs in the Jimmy Fund Clinic and at Boston Childrens, supported over 50 pediatric oncologists/scientists in pediatric cancer research, and helped countless families bear the financial burden of cancer by defraying out-of-pocket expenses such as food, transportation and housing while a child is undergoing treatment.
Your donation goes directly to support pediatric patients and families cared for at DF/BCH Cancer and Blood Disorders Program.Together we can ease the burden of the childhood cancer journey and work towards a day when childhood cancer is eradicated. Thank you for your support!
