Why I Ride ...
Throughout my life I have seen the effects of cancer and the impact it has on family and friends. I have lost my grandparents, an uncle, coworkers and friends all too early and too quickly. In recent years I have seen some extraordinary cancer comebacks that have been both inspiring and encouraging. Inspiring because of the strength, friendship, and love that I have seen it bring out in people. Encouraging because of the incredible outcomes that in the past would not have been possible.
For many reasons I am again riding in the Pan Mass Challenge however the main reason is that again cancer has directly affected people I know and love and I want to do my part to help stop this terrible disease. Participating in the ride last year and seeing the many people whose lives have been saved and the relatives of those that hadn’t was inspiring and really drove home the point that we can make a difference.
