This year I will be participating in my third Pan Mass Challenge! I am thrilled to be a returning member for Team 3G.

My experience with Cancer is not unique. I have watched loved ones live with cancer and battle cancer bravely. As recently as 2020 I watched a dear loved one lose the battle. I’m proud to become a PMC rider to join in the fight to beat cancer.

100% of the funds raised through the PMC directly supported the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s tireless commitment to finding a cure.

Team 3G is a force to be reckoned with. In 3 short years they have raised over 1 million for Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). See below for the progression in the past 3 years:

• Year One: Funds went directly to lung cancer research with Thoracic Oncology

• Year Two: Funds went directly to Susan Brown Labs at DFCI Lymphoma. The results from this study were published in the Nov 2022 Journal of Medical Oncology with Team 3G being credited as a contributor to the success of the study.

• Year Three: $410,000 raised. $75,000 went to Dr. Rebecca Porter to support vital ovarian cancer research. $75,000 to Dr. Rizwan Haq’s lab for severely underfunded uveal melanoma study. The remaining $258,000 went to the Lowe Center for Thoracic oncology under the direction of Dr. Pasi Janne.

I feel very fortunate to be part of Team 3G and their commitment to the Lowe Center of Thoracic Oncology at the Dana-Farber. Our objective as a team is to bring about increased awareness of cancer detection, treatment, research, and education.
