2022: Riding PMC with Patty
Back for another year with the motto, it is not a race, it is all about the journey.
2019: Riding PMC with Patty
Our journey continues, from the first time Owen and I rode the PMC, Patty has said she wanted to ride after the kids got out of college. Patty had Owen’s bike adjusted for her and has gone from riding 10 miles to riding 40 miles two days in a row. It is with lots of mixed emotions Patty and I will be starting our 2-day 170+ mile ride the first weekend in August. Briana will be in town to drive the support vehicle in case either of us would like to an alternate mode of transportation for a few miles.
2009-2018: Volunteering at Bourne
Grilled, sorted luggage, parked bike and loaded bikes on to trucks with other members of Team Kathy/Ed’s Flakes (Briana, Nolan, Nathaniel, Liam, Jane, to name a few.). Volunteering in Bourne allows you to spend time with the riders (many years to include Owen) as they rehydrated from Day 1 and rested up for the Day 2 hills of Cape Cod.
2009: Owen and Briana Ride the PMC
A very special year training with Briana as she prepared to ride the PMC for the first time. A great PMC weekend with great memories.
Team Kathy/Ed’s Flakes lost two special members during this time: Ed Walsh and Owen.
2008: 2nd year of riding the PMC
Made it to P-town again this year, but needed to take multiple modes of transportation. J
Having a personal support vehicle manned by Patty and Briana came in very handy.
2007: First year riding the PMC
Went on many weekend and earlier morning rides with Owen training for our first PMC. An amazing experience. Had a long lasting positive impact on the both of us.
2004-2006: Volunteered at P-town Finish.
Allowed myself, Owen and Owen’s friend John Fisher to see Team Kathy/Ed’s Flakes riders at the finish
