I choose to ride for all those who can’t. For all those who are no longer with us. For all those who are fighting every single day.

I’m Kiera, 35, and this ride is deeply personal—just as it is for so many around the world. Cancer touches all of us in some way, and I ride to honor, support, and remember those who have faced this disease with strength and resilience. I ride for my Uncle Peter, who continues to preserve, for my late Aunt Anne, whose light is deeply missed, for the incredible late John McLean whose legacy lives on. I ride for my friend Sarah, who is navigating her path to recovery with courage, for the late Julie Timm, whom for two deacades showed the power of true perseverance, grit and heart, and for my teammate Brenna’s late father, whose memory fuels our teams determination. I ride for my teammate Mel, who is a living testament to the power of the DFCI, and for every single person who has battled cancer—those in treatment, those in recovery, those living cancer-free, and those we’ve had to say goodbye to far too soon.

This ride isn’t just about pedaling miles; it’s about pushing forward with purpose, raising awareness, and doing everything we can to support those affected by cancer. Every turn of the wheel is for them, for their families, and for a future where we no longer have to lose the people we love to this disease.

The Pan-Mass Challenge isn’t just a ride; it’s a movement, a community, and a promise that we will never stop pushing forward until there’s a cure. Our team rides with open hearts, strong legs, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference.
