In a few weeks, I will be back on the bike riding 162 miles in my 16th Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). While the excitement and anticipation of the fun weekend approaches, it is not lost on me why we are riding. With dear friends and teammates still battling this awful disease, I am reaching out to ask for your support to help me reach my fundraising commitment.
I will be riding as a proud member of Team Ovarian Cancer. Team Ovarian Cancer was created in 2022 to honor two courageous women. Our team has since grown to 19 team members. Our team supports innovative treatments currently being developed by Ursula Matulonis, MD and Chief of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Dana Farber.
In addition to riding alongside this team, I am also riding for my dear friend Dale who I did numerous PMC’s with. Dale is battling Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia, a rare cancer that begins in the white blood cells, and is currently being treated at Dana Farber.
The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country, $972 million since 1980 and $72 million in 2023 alone! And, 100% of your donation goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
I've made a personal commitment to raise $6,000 this year. I hope you can help me achieve this significant goal. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
Together we can make a difference!
