Why I Ride ...
I am riding the Pan Mass Challenge in memory and honor of our wonderful mother, Cheri Targoff, who died in 2018 after a very short, intense battle with ovarian cancer.
50% of the funds I raise will go to the PMC general fund. Every single dollar raised for this fund goes directly and unrestricted to Dana Farber's fight against cancer.
The other 50% of the funds I raise will go to the The Dmitri Itzkovitz Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Fund, a fund that helps pay for crucial and desperately-needed research to help kids like Dmitri, an 18 year old former soccer teammate of Lou's and the son of a friend of mine with whom I will be riding. The fund supports research and clinical trials to fight pediatric brain tumors. Since the fund started seven years ago they have raised over 2.5 million dollars for the pediatric brain tumor program.
I will be doing the two-day 165 mile ride. My goal is to raise $10,000, and I will match up to $5000. Please support any way you feel comfortable.
