On August 3rd and 4th, I'll proudly ride 162 miles from Wellesley to Cape Cod with Team Lizard in my seventh Pan-Mass Challenge. This event brings together thousands of cyclists and volunteers, all dedicated to the goal of finding a cure for cancer.
My mother, Karin, lost her battle with leptomeningeal carcinomatosis in 2000. I've also seen too many other close friends and family members suffer tragic loss due to this devastating disease.
Like every year, I ride to remember my mother and to hasten the arrival of a future without cancer, with 100% of Pan-Mass Challenge rider-raised funds directed to cancer research and treatment. This is a particularly special year, in which we celebrate the milestone of $1 billion in cumulative funds raised since 1980.
As always, I would like to especially thank Team Lizard for the opportunity to ride alongside you - it's an honor and privilege to ride amongst not only some of the most dedicated people I know in working toward cancer's cure, but dear friends.
Many thanks for visiting my rider profile page and for your support, of any kind!
