Back in the Saddle!!!
Friends and Family -
I are riding my 7th PMC this year. I have to admit, training has been rough this time. The weather has NOT cooperated at all, and many of you know we have many "moving" parts right now! (Call me for details :)...... But I have made the commitment again - and will ride the 192 miles over 2 days to raise money for our hero - Dr. Katie Janeway, who says childrens' lives every day. I know how incredibly fortunate I am to have healthy children and GRANDCHILDREN! Any amount of good we can do to help others is humbling and rewarding.
Even more exciting is that Team PFK (Precision For Kids) has a new Pedal Partner this year. I am so privileged, proud, happy, and most of all INSPIRED to announce that our own Grady Smith, son of my dear friend (sister - daughter - partner in crime..) Jillian, is our team partner. Grady was diagnosed with ALD at age 7. He was fortunate to receive a bone marrow transplant that has helped him fight this horrid disease. We thank God for the amazing doctors at BCH and Dana Farber who do the research, and find the incredible treatments that keep him fighting and healthy.
Our Precision For Kids team funds ground breaking research into childhood cancers. Seeing the results of this research is greatly humbling and rewarding. As a mom who is so incredibly fortunate to have 3 healthy children, it is my honor and privilege to ride to help others live that dream. Any and all donations help, and they sure do add up! Thank you so much for your support once again. I couldn't do this without you all!
