Why do we need to find a cure for cancer? Because. Because of you and your friends and loved ones battling cancer. Because I can count eight close relatives who either lost their fight with cancer or have gone through rigorous treatment. And because of Christina...
The Pan-Mass Challenge gives teams the opportunity to be paired with a family whose child is going through cancer treatment at Dana-Farber, and we refer to these amazing kids as our Pedal Partners. 2018 will be the seventh year that I have had the privilige to be Team Dassault's Pedal Partner liaison. I am blessed to have gotten to know several wonderful families whose child has undergone treatment for cancer. This has given me a window into the lives of these children and their parents who live for a time in a constant state of uncertainty, doubt, fear, and of course, hope. The tremendous care these kids receive at Dana-Farber is world renound, and many, many times the outcome is a positive one. Not so for one incredible young girl who has become near and dear to my heart. Christina, who has been our pedal Partner since 2013, was battling stage IV rhabdomyosarcoma since she was 6. We knew how difficult at times this struggle was for her and her family but we all hoped and prayed that somehow she would beat this. You can imagine how tremendously difficult it was for us all this January to hear of her passing. This devastating loss of our sweet Christina, just two weeks before her 12th birthday, has left me even more motivated than ever to raise funds for Dana-Farber. This experience has been a tremendous source of inspiration and motivation for me. Please join me in helping make cancer a thing of the past. Your donation of any amount is greatly appreciated, and I thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart.
