Happy Summer Of 2024 Everyone~
This year will mark my 15th year of riding in the PMC Ride For Cancer, and my 19th year of my involvement with The Pan Mass Challenge Ride For Cancer.
With the return of a live riding event last summer, we are going for all the THE HOT WAVE RIDE !!!
I am not alone!
On Saturday, August 3th, 2024 I will leave Wellesley, Mass and ride to Bourne, Mass with my partners Michael Levine, Randall Weber-Levine, Jeffrey Kauth, AND Jeanne Ackman and 6,400 other riders. We will put in 85 miles this first day!
On Sunday, August 4th, 2024, some of us, joined by 2,400 other riders will leave Onset/Bourne, Mass and ride to the tip of Cape Cod, known as Provincetown, Mass. We will put in 86 miles this day!
It will be ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL RIDE!
Please support my cause in raising despirately needed Cancer Research funds, and funds for Childhood Cancer care at The Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) Boston.
I ride in honor of my dearly departed friend and colleague Robert Haimovici, MD who passed away in 2002 due to complication from a 7 year battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, or CLL. Robert taught me a lifetime of lessons in less than the lifetime of a man and I miss him dearly, even to this day [7/10/2024!].
My Pedal Partner for this 2024 PMC is Mila Palhais, a young girl with a rare tumor of the eye known as Retinoblastoma.
Despite this debilitating disease that has found its way to different areas of her body, Mila continues to press forward, accelerating in soccer, cycling, and as a 9th grade student!
Our ride for cancer supports all forms of cancer research and childhood care for cancer. Please help me support The Jimmy Fund at DANA FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE, and my 2024 PAN MASS CHALLENGE Ride for Cancer !
