In September 2004 my Mother passed away after a three year heroic battle with ovarian cancer. In 1991 it was my Dad who died from colon cancer. During the years in between I've seen several friends, relatives and neighbors similarly touched by this incidious disease. Some are lucky, they're diagnosed early and have a chance to beat it. Others are not so fortunate. In the end Cancer leaves its unmistakeable mark. For me, that mark is in the form of an un-waivering committment to the cause of bringing an end to cancer during my lifetime. And as I see it, the best way for me to help make this happen is to participate in the PMC.

The photo on the left is me with my twin sons Jon and Charlie. This was back in 2005 on our way home after they completed their first PMC. It was my tenth. Since then I have only missed the 2007 ride following Jon's car accident. That's an incredible 25+ years riding with the PMC - I feel truly blessed to have been able to continue this annual tradition. And more than that, I'm grateful to have had you with me throughout it all. Thanks to your generous support, we've sent over $250,000 to the DFCI to be used on the front lines in the battle against cancer. Thank you for your committment to the cause.

We're getting back to normal this year, sort of! With continued emphasis on keeping everyone safe and healthy, the PMC has institured new restrictions, but at least we get to ride and the Hub sites are back, again with restrictions. So we're still not 100% back to normal, but at least we're making progress. I know I speak for all of the PMC family when I say that we will sorely miss that incredible weekend at the beginning of August. Let's just hope we are able to get back to it completely next year!
