For the second consecutive year, I will be riding the two-day PMC from Wellesley to Provincetown covering 170 miles. Last year was a great success, and this year, I am committed to additional training and fundraising for this incredible cause. My family has a long history with the PMC; this year, my father, brother, and I will be riding with Boston Children’s Hospital Team Pedals for Pediatrics. Our combined goal is to raise $25,000, with all proceeds being donated to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
This year is particularly special, as the PMC organization is likely to reach a total of $1 billion in donations since its inception—a truly remarkable accomplishment. This milestone honors those we have lost to cancer, celebrates survivors, and supports the improvement of treatments for current patients.
I am dedicating this ride to Carl Micci, a close friend, subcontractor and mentor who was unexpectedly lost to pancreatic cancer two years ago at the age of 53. I am certain that most of your lives have been affected by cancer in one way or another, and so I ask for your support and donation to this amazing cause. Together, we can make a difference, continue the fight to find a cure, and positively impact many more lives.
